'As the appetite for cruise travel continues to grow, we hope we can work with partners in Southeast Asia including Malaysia to further develop the cruise business in the region.' The exhibition highlights major harbourfront enhancement projects at Kowloon East, West Kowloon and the New Central Harbourfront, showcasing Hong Kong's latest developments in the economic, arts and cultural arenas. This new state-of-the-art cruise terminal, when fully operational, will be able to berth two of the biggest cruise liners in the world at the same time.

The Director of the HKETO in Singapore, Mr Fong Ngai, said, 'The design of the exhibition is modelled on the Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, which makes use of the runway of the old Kai Tak airport. Organised by the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (HKETO) in Singapore and the Hong Kong Tourism Board, the exhibition showcases the evolution of Victoria Harbour over the years into a vibrant, accessible and sustainable world-class attraction enjoyed by both local residents and tourists. The exhibition was officially opened at a launch ceremony today (June 4) by the Chief Secretary for Administration, Mrs Carrie Lam, and the Deputy Director General of Tourism Malaysia, Mr Haji Azizan Noordin.
